On 19/6/10 GPS enthusiastically participated in CARNIVAL organized by divya Bhaskar as a part of Swarnim Gujarat showcasing their different talents in cultural programmes and thereby celebrating 50 yrs of Swarnim Gujarat to be proud of being in rich and heritage state of GUJARAT. |

The guiding philosophies of our school is to provide a fine blend of best Indian values and its culture through academics, activities and at the same time expose our students to Global scenario. GPS has partnered with AEGEE, to give a positive boost to ”Millennium Development Goals challenges for today’s youth”. The project aims to mobilize young people from Europe, India and south Africa to raise their awareness, explores way for young people to participate and contribute, through youth structures, active citizenship and democratic processes to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development goals. Under this project international students have come from Europe and South Africa in our school. For them GPS conducted Drawing Competition on 27/6/10 with the theme of MDG. Students from various schools participated to exhibit their imagination in the most creative manner. |

To enhance the knowledge in all the areas and to make the students competitive, GPS is conducting three important exams - National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) by science Olympiad foundation (SOF), International Assessment for Indian Students(IAIS) by MCmillan and NSTSE(National science talent search exam) by Unified Council. |

On 17.7.10 Project One World- a cultural exchange program was inaugurated for development of feeling of Universal brotherhood, with the joint effort of GPS & AIESEC. Students from Palestine, Korea, Taiwan, U.K, Sweden, Japan, China, Egypt visited and stayed in our school under their cultural program. The resident international students got exposed to the Indian culture and life style & in turn students of GPS got a slice of life of different countries. |

On 11/7/10 CBSE students participated in elocution competitionon World poplution day at Railway auditorium and got certificates. |

On 15/7/10 Investiture ceremonywas conducted to elect the student council members to become the leaders and to instill leadership qualities in our students. These students will become a role model for the other children. Those children who were elected as student council members took an oath. |

On 1/9/10 GPS celebrated Janmashtamiby having interschool Matkiphod Competition. Students with lot of daring participated in the competition and have the essence of enjoyment which Lord Krishna did in his time. GPS showed their bravery by hitting the matki within short time in first trial and became the winner. |

Teacher’s daywas celebrated on 4/9/10 by performing on different songs, dance and skit and organizing different games for teachers. |

On 13/9/10 GPS is proudly hosted the Queen’s Baton Relaywith a cultural programme. The evening was a grand success with the dignitaries present during the function were Wing Commander V.N. Singh,Sq.Leader Kamal Chaudhary, Collector Vijay Neha, Muncipal Commissioner, M.K.Das Police commissioner Rakesh Asthana,Mr.Bhagyesh Jha sports cultural and youth secretary. |

On 26/9/10 ‘Animal Saffari Project‘was conducted by K.G. Section. It gave a real atmosphere of jungle exhibiting wild life centuries, their habitats, water kingdom, story den. This projects vital attraction was the simulated jungle , an effort from the part of teachers so that children may know how a real jungle looks like and how animals survive. To make the project a grand success important dignitaries from the forest department Shri H.B.Patel (DFO), Shri G.A.Brahambatt(ACF), Shri A.C.Soni (ACF), Shri A.A.Pandya (RFO), Shri C.G.Chaudhary (RFO) attended the function. |
