“Green Vadodara” run was organised by Indian Petrochemical Limited on 12th Jul, on which our GPS school team children participated and created awareness among the public for keeping the Boarda clean and green.

The Interschool Extempore Competition was conducted on 29th July 09.  The students from Standard 9th standard participated & received the consolation prize

Anand Vidya Vihar school conducted  inter school art competition on 23rd July 09. On which our GPS Student Shivangi patel has won first prize.

Pidilite painting competition was conducted by Pidilite group to showcase the creativity among the students in 28th July 09

The school celebrated in a colourful way the birth of Lord Krishna as Janmastami Celebration on 14th August 2009.  The young children took part in it and enjoyed the celebration.

The school has celebrated Independence Day in a grand manner to express the feeling of nationalism on 15th August 09.

Sholaka chanting competition was organised by Chinmaya Mission on our school campus on 29th August 09.  Few children of GPS were qualified for the final round

Today’s world is computer & cyber world.  To create awareness and interest among the students on the same line, the school has conducted National Cyber Olympiad in 30th August 2009 large number of students participated in the competition.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans organised Slokha chanting competition was arranged on 31st Aug 2009, the students from our school participated and won consolation prizes.

Apart from the school studies the children should be aware about the outside examinations also.  To create awareness about this, the school conducted Macmillan examination conducted on 29th & 30TH August 09 for the subjects like English, Science, Maths and computer Science.  More than 200 children took active part and acquired the knowledge.

The M. S. university of Baroda has conducted a seminar on Nutritious elements of Amala.  Our school students of IX & XI participated and acquired the knowledge.

The Indian Institute of Technology has conducted a qualifying round of testing between Standard VIII to X.  The students of both of boards has participated in the exam & among them 5 students of each class has been selected and sent for II Phase of test on November 22nd 09 at M.S. University.

Teachers day was celebrated on 5th September in a different and elegant way.  The students for a change entertained the teachers by way of  exciting games, dance & in a very jovial way.  The students portrayed their talents and  the teachers  & staff members enjoyed the programme.

On 10th Septemebr 09 Nav gurukul conducted Insight National Talent hunt 2009-2010 Phase - I for the classes from 6th to 10th.  The students have been selected and sent to II phase examination.

On 19th September’09 Sargam Garba Mahostav was celebrated in school.  The school is celebrating every year Garba Mahostav on the eve of Birth day of Managing director of BRG Group Mr. Sargam Gupta.  The children from different different classes energetically participated and won many prizes for the best performer, best costume & best make up.

Safety awareness seminar was conducted by Sterling Hospital on 10th November’09 in our school premises for the safety of the children, the teachers have to be trained on how to handle emergency situations.  Precautions to be taken if there is any mishaps, how to handle any bleeding or any cut during the school hours.

On 13th & 14th November the children day was celebrated in a innovative way.  The children from class III to V have brought Salad or eatables from home.  They have shared the same with their friends.  From the Part of the teachers, the teachers gave wonderful presentation for their children by way of dance, skit, etc.,

On 19th Novemebr 09, Down Town Honda Mr. Paresh Rao visited our school to present awareness about traffic sign & traffic rules & gave live demonstration of made the school children  participate which made the children to realize the impact of speed driving.  The children enthusiastically participated and acquired the knowledge from the expert people who were present over there.
